Description

• Provide legal support to the Data Analytics, IT, Privacy & Security, and Innovation teams. • Serve as a subject matter expert on legal/regulatory issues related to privacy, data, and security. • Provide day-to-day advice on legal issues related to intellectual property and technology solutions. • Legal understanding of using big data to deliver SaaS solutions to enterprise partners. • Provide legal support in a fast-paced insure-tech start-up environment. • Monitor and advise on changes in laws or regulations, particularly those impacting Company strategy. • Assist with legal department projects as assigned, including efforts to develop, implement, and enhance processes. • Work with various business stakeholders to develop and implement practices that support innovation and growth while maintaining appropriate commercial risk. • Anything else that gets thrown your way to support a dynamic, innovative Company.

Requirements

• At least twelve (12) years of experience with exceptional academic and law firm credentials; at least five (5) years of in-house experience with a life insurance carrier preferred. • In-depth knowledge and understanding of data privacy laws and intellectual property, preferably in the life insurance industry. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen.
