• Review, code and process supplier invoices accurately to the appropriate general ledger accounts, business units and GST classifications • Ensure timely payment of approved invoices in line with agreed payment terms • Allocate payments and reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger • Process approved customer refunds in coordination with the Customer Service team • Respond to internal and external payment queries in a professional and timely manner • Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation for all accounts payable transactions • Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation • Assist with month-end close activities • Support preparation of financial reports as required • Support audit and taxation requirements as needed • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, GST requirements and internal controls • Maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy • Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations • Experiment with AI features to discover new methods for completing work more efficiently and effectively • Support or lead various projects.
• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred) • Xero Certification or similar credentials beneficial • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within e-commerce or retail • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel • Experience preparing and reconciling accounts payable, and bank transactions • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the finance team • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and inventory accounting is an advantage • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written communication and documentation skills • Ability to multitask and stay organised in a remote work environment • Professional, ethical, and collaborative approach.
