Description
• Serve as the Compliance Officer (CO) for Bitfinex Securities El Salvador • Responsible for guiding the development, implementation, and conduct of the AML Program and the AML/CTF and Sanctions Compliance Policy • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Familiar with Bitfinex business operations and AML Program • Knowledgeable of applicable guidance documents and regulatory developments • Report directly to the CEO of BFX Securities El Salvador • Remote work and flexible across multiple time zones • Proficiency in research, report, and policy writing • Basic knowledge of anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing, and international sanctions • Interest in understanding blockchain technology
Requirements
• Demonstrated interest in the Fintech Sector • Verbal and written communication skills • Critical thinking and decision-making skills • Sound knowledge of Capital Markets • Knowledge of AML, CTF, and Sanctions requirements • Ability to work with minimum supervision • Organizational and time management skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and G Suite • Willingness to learn • English as a primary language, proficiency in Spanish • Location in El Salvador preferably • Professional certification in AML and/or Fraud environment • Some international travel may be required
