Description

• Develop, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions to ensure visibility into application performance and system health • Utilize Bash/Python scripting to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks across our production environments • Respond to and resolve production issues, minimizing impact on customers and ensuring high availability and performance • Participate in the design and implementation of infrastructure and applications to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency • Conduct root cause analysis of production incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence • Collaborate with development teams to advocate for and implement reliability best practices throughout the software development lifecycle • Manage cloud-based resources and services, leveraging AWS to enhance our application’s scalability and resilience.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a support engineering role, with a proven track record of problem-solving in high-availability environments • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking principles • Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills • Curiosity and eagerness to learn and share knowledge with others • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools • Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
