Description

• Lead building and maintaining microservices for user profiles, CRM, authentication, real-time events, and history. • Define the technical vision and roadmap for these microservices, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. • Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into feasible and scalable architectural solutions. • Design, develop, and deploy secure and performant microservices using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Typescript, React, Feathers, and modern toolchains. • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for assigned microservices, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within your team, promoting knowledge sharing, code reviews, and continuous improvement. • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in microservices, cloud platforms, and web development. • Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks within the microservices ecosystem. • Contribute to the overall platform architecture and infrastructure decisions. • Mentor and coach junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and expertise.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams. • 7+ years of experience building and deploying microservices architectures. • 3+ years of experience with high scale ecommerce • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Kubernetes, and relevant services. • Expertise in Typescript and modern Javascript frameworks like React, Feathers, Sequelize, Drizzle, etc. • Expertise in JWT, OAuth, OpenID, and other authentication and security frameworks and protocols. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools like GitHub Actions. • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms like DataDog. • Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. • Passion for building high-quality software and a desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
