Description

• Writing high quality production-ready code, paired with automated tests • Work across the Websites Team and own/execute features with large business impact and reach • Design solutions to accomplish business goals for a particular area of the application • Advocate for best practices and contribute to technical process improvements • Participate and provide substantive feedback during code reviews; engage junior team members in mentoring relationships • Producing well organized user guides and documentation, setting a high standard for the team • Ownership of Incident response and resolution • Participation in on-call rotations

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated skill with a variety of languages and frameworks • Demonstrated proficiency in complex database design and query optimization • Ability to solve/triage complex issues across many components of a production system • Possesses comprehensive understanding of secure software development practice • Strong understanding of build processes/test automation • Strong verbal & written communication skills • Ability to produce comprehensive and well organized documentation, diagrams, and user guides • Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and concepts • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Python, PHP, MySQL • Highly Desired: 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience • Formal degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field • Experience with job queue/messaging systems • Experience leading projects or functioning as a team lead • Proficiency in Rust, Selenium
