📋 Description

• Implement and maintain tagging strategy and cost allocation using AWS Cost Allocation Tags • Create and manage dashboards in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR (Cost and Usage Report) and BI tools • Produce periodic cost reports by business unit, team and product • Identify opportunities for rightsizing and use of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances and Spot Instances • Analyze and recommend actions based on AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Compute Optimizer • Monitor and reduce idle or underutilized resources, including unattached EBS volumes, Elastic IPs and old snapshots • Configure and manage Budgets with alerts and automated actions • Define and track cost KPIs such as cost per transaction, cost per customer and unit economics • Support the development of governance policies via AWS Organizations and Service Control Policies (SCPs) • Promote showback/chargeback practices across teams • Prepare materials for recurring cost review meetings with technical and business stakeholders • Evangelize the phases of the FinOps framework: Inform, Optimize and Operate • Develop spend forecasts and support budget planning • Analyze consumption trends and cost anomalies using AWS Cost Anomaly Detection

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience managing cloud costs (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI) • Solid knowledge of AWS billing services: Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets, Cost Anomaly Detection • Familiarity with the FinOps Foundation framework (phases, personas, principles) • Experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Grafana, Tableau or similar) • Analytical ability to work with large volumes of billing data (SQL, Python or similar) • Good communication skills to translate technical data into business insights
