Description

• Responsible for defining, measuring and improving Key Operational Metrics like SLOs and SLIs • Building, maintaining, and scaling internal nodes connecting Coinbase services to the blockchain • Improving observability, reliability, and availability by defining and measuring key metrics • Guiding engineering investment decisions for greatest ROI • Collaborating with core infrastructure team for performance tuning and cloud deployment optimization • Proactively identifying and analyzing reliability problems across business units and stack • Educating and mentoring engineering team to improve system reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience • Strong understanding of data structures & algorithms • Full-stack experience • Fluency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Ruby, Python or JavaScript • Strong skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning • Ability to debug complex systems and dive into any layer of the stack • Experience with containers/container orchestration systems and monitoring tools
