Description

• Experienced Senior Software Engineer on Observability team in Infrastructure organization • Critical role in reinventing observability stack at Coinbase to support growth • Support systems, services, and tooling for economic freedom mission • Design, develop, and operate services quickly, safely, securely, and reliably • Build automation, improve systems, define and measure key metrics • Collaborate on cloud deployments, performance tuning, and incident response automation • Proactively identify reliability problems, design and implement improvements • Educate, mentor, and hold accountable engineering team for system reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience • Strong understanding of data structures & algorithms for performance and reliability • Proficiency in programming languages like Golang, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript • Skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning • Ability to debug complex systems and willingness to improve stack • Experience with containers and orchestration systems, and monitoring tools • Deep knowledge of UNIX/Linux system internals
