• Analyze and organize raw data, building data systems and pipelines • Review & identify discrepancies on a weekly/ bi-weekly basis to ensure data recorded accurately • Study past sales data to determine industry and productivity trends • Continually evaluate business needs and objectives • Design, implement, and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and day-to-day operations • Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to identify patterns and trends and to inform business decisions • Work cross-functionally with category leadership team to identify demand space opportunities and voids in market • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization tools • Develop and maintain data reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders • Engage with outside vendors to leverage additional third-party data sources • Passion for creating compelling sell stories to ensure our brands win in retail • Becoming the go to contact for all customer related systems • Utilizing consumption data to influence customer decision making
• 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role within the CPG industry in the Food Class of Trade for HBC/Sports Nutrition • Must be proficient in DemandTec, Market 6, Stratum (84.51), Periscope, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Other retailer supplier hub knowledge is preferred (STIBO, HEB, Hy-Vee) • IRI/Nielsen consumption data expert, 1WorldSync experience is a plus • Candidates must possess the ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and mining • Experience with sales forecasting and reporting on inventory levels • Experience supporting Sales teams by compiling and analyzing sales and market data • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and training ability
