• CoreWeave is a specialized cloud provider, delivering a massive scale of GPU compute resources on top of the industry’s fastest and most flexible infrastructure. CoreWeave builds cloud solutions for compute intensive use cases — VFX and rendering, machine learning and AI, batch processing, and Pixel Streaming — that are up to 35 times faster and 80% less expensive than the large, generalized public clouds. • The Data Platforms Team serves as CoreWeave’s center of excellence for data ingestion, data flow and retrieval. This team is responsible for the evaluation of use cases, solutions discovery, and the scalable, secure, reliable operation of our data platform infrastructure. We are seeking an engineering leader for the Data Platforms team. This individual will grow and lead a talented team of 6-8 engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data architectures, infrastructure, and platforms. As a member of the Data Platforms Team you will have the opportunity to: - Drive the culture and tone for how your team defines success both in how they support each other and how they enable the rest of CoreWeave. - Collaborate with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to align data platform goals with overall business objectives. - Support your people and create opportunities for them to be challenged and grow. - Enable the team to engineer solutions for providing managed data platforms that are reliable and scale efficiently. - Champion the adoption of best practices for data management to drive an organizational data platform and stream processing strategy. • We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are some qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If a portion of this resonates with you, we’d love to talk. - You have six or more years of experience in a software or infrastructure engineering industry. - You love helping people on their journeys to become their best selves. - You have experience with building and/or leading teams of diverse individuals. - You believe in a bottoms-up style of leadership that focuses on enablement, communication, organization, and inspiration over task management. - You possess a servant leadership mindset that extends beyond you to your peers, leaders, and consumers. - You have prior experience with distributed datastores such as CockroachDB, TiDB and/or stream processing tools such as NATS or KAFKA. - You have prior experience operating datastores at scale. - You have prior experience in helping teams translate their use cases into requirements for products. - You have some prior experience as an engineer with operational responsibilities and can guide the development of a program for reliability, scalability of solutions for engineering teams and our customers.
