• Lead, coach, and develop a team of data engineers, providing clear direction, feedback, and career growth opportunities • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning • Drive strong engagement through effective 1:1s, performance management, and team development planning • Own the successful delivery of end-to-end data pipelines and platform capabilities across batch and streaming architectures • Ensure high standards for data quality, scalability, reliability, and observability • Partner with Product, Analytics, and Business teams to ensure delivery aligns with business needs • Provide architectural guidance and technical direction across the data domain • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, best practices, and design principles • Champion coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD adoption to ensure high-quality, production-grade systems • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders within the data domain • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience • 6+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in data platforms and systems • 6+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams • Strong background in: Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures • Data engineering and pipeline development (batch and streaming) • Programming (Python, SQL, PySpark) and data modeling • Cloud data platforms and distributed systems • Experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in Agile environments
