📋 Description

• Manage complex batch operations and resolve incidents • Lead design and implementation of operational strategies • Proactively identify system improvements and optimizations • Collaborate with development teams and provide training to junior engineers • Represent ops teams in crisis calls and provide status updates • May involve periodic weekend support for operational continuity

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technically related field, or equivalent professional experience • 5+ years of experience • Strong experience in Mainframe Batch Operations • Managing complex batch flows in scheduling tools such as CA-7, TWS/OPC/IZWS is highly desired • Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol and troubleshooting when Batch jobs abend • Ability to represent ops teams in crisis calls, provide batch status updates etc. • May lead the design and implementation of operational strategies, including system architecture and infrastructure planning • Proactively identify areas for system improvement, automation, and optimization • Manage and resolve critical incidents, conduct post-incident analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements • Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices for deploying and maintaining software applications • Act as a subject matter expert in system reliability and provide training to junior engineers • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary is expected
