📋 Description

• Operate and manage complex mainframe batch flows using scheduling tools • Represent operations teams in crisis calls and provide batch status updates • Lead the design and implementation of operational strategies, including system architecture and infrastructure planning • Identify opportunities for system improvement, automation, and optimization • Manage and resolve critical incidents • Conduct post-incident analysis and drive long-term reliability improvements • Collaborate with development teams on best practices for deploying and maintaining software applications • Act as a subject matter expert in system reliability • Provide training to junior engineers • Provide periodic weekend support and work outside standard business hours when necessary

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technically related field, or equivalent professional experience • 5+ years of experience • Strong experience in Mainframe Batch Operations • Experience managing complex batch flows in scheduling tools such as CA-7, TWS/OPC/IZWS • Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, and COBOL • Ability to troubleshoot batch jobs that abend • Ability to represent operations teams in crisis calls and provide batch status updates • Flexibility to provide periodic weekend support • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary
