📋 Description

• Support supplier quality initiatives to achieve operational and strategic supplier quality goals • Build relationships with external suppliers, external customers, and internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering • Apply APQP processes, AIAG tools, and Cummins specialty tools to develop or improve external supplier manufacturing processes • Participate in external supplier audits and potentially lead low-complexity, low-risk audits after becoming a certified auditor • Participate in resolving external supplier quality challenges • Support root cause analysis, corrective action development, and verification of corrective-action effectiveness • Contribute to continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies • Participate in quality performance planning and improvement for assigned product types or supplier-base segments • Potentially lead low-complexity, low-risk quality planning and improvement activities after gaining experience

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines • Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Product Quality or related functions • Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, engine, powertrain, off-highway, industrial equipment or related industries preferred • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes • Knowledge of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) tools • Knowledge of Cummins specialty tools • Auditing skills and Quality Management Systems knowledge • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles and Engineering Standards • Knowledge of manufacturing technology, methods, techniques, tools, and equipment • Experience applying DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, Source Release and PPAP • Knowledge of measurement technology and measurement system design • Systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis skills • Knowledge of quality standards including ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949 • Statistical tools and techniques • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
