📋 Description

• Work with the Operations team to support and manage customer environments in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, and OCI), focusing on database technologies such as SQL, PaaS, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others • Handle tickets and alerts received by the Operations team, performing initial analysis and driving resolution within your technical capabilities • Assist Junior DBAs with questions and troubleshooting • Escalate to the Specialized Operations team when there is no progress in resolving an issue • Communicate with customers, record ticket creation, provide regular updates, and confirm closure with supporting evidence • Perform support activities based on KBs, playbooks, and internal or vendor documentation • Request new procedures, training, and support for recurring tickets • Handle known monitoring alerts, validate their impact, and correlate events • Perform technical validations and initial health checks according to established procedures • Ensure escalations include complete context, supporting evidence, and the validations performed • Accurately record and document all actions in the ITSM system, including supporting evidence • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and the use of AI in day-to-day procedures • Remain responsible for the ticket until it is properly transitioned or resolved • Identify repetitive activities, operational bottlenecks, and gaps in documentation, contributing to the continuous improvement of Operations • Take ownership of the support process from the first contact through ticket transition or resolution

🎯 Requirements

• Database administration and management • Broad knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL • Experience troubleshooting problems and incidents, analyzing tablespaces, object distribution, storage structures, database fragmentation, throughput (I/O), and SQL query performance tuning • Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery routines • Knowledge of tuning, index creation, permissions, and user management • Knowledge of AWS and Azure is desirable • Knowledge of Linux and Windows is desirable • Experience preparing reports • AWS, Azure, or OCI Fundamentals/Foundation certification • Database-specific certifications, such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server • AWS Certified Database – Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proactivity • Teamwork skills • Flexibility and adaptability • Ability to work under pressure • Time-management and activity-tracking skills • Ability to negotiate internally and externally • Ability to work on multiple projects and activities simultaneously
