📋 Description

‱ Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the African defense sector, with a focus on UAV technology and government procurement. ‱ Lead the preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and tenders, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. ‱ Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to position Destinus solutions effectively within the defense ecosystem. ‱ Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and procurement frameworks to identify potential business opportunities. ‱ Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, and finance) to ensure alignment with business objectives. ‱ Negotiate and manage contracts, securing favorable terms and ensuring successful project execution.

🎯 Requirements

‱ 10 - 20 years of professional experience in business development, sales, procurement, or strategic roles within the defense sector ‱ Proven military experience with a strong understanding of defense operations, structures, and decision-making environments ‱ Solid track record in the UAV or drone industry or direct exposure to government procurement processes is highly desirable ‱ Deep knowledge of the African defense ecosystem, including procurement frameworks, key stakeholders, and institutional dynamics ‱ Experience working with government tenders, defense contracts, or technology sales within regulated environments ‱ Strong business acumen with the ability to identify, shape, and execute strategic opportunities ‱ Excellent communication and networking skills with a natural ability to build trust and influence stakeholders ‱ Ability to operate independently while navigating complex, fast-paced environments ‱ Background in engineering, business, or a related field ‱ Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the defense industry ‱ Fluent in English both written and spoken ‱ Willingness to travel across France and internationally to represent Destinus at key events and engagements.
