• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system • Obtain applicable approvals • Attach and/or save invoices and supporting documents electronically • Organize and file supporting documents electronically • Manage vendors’ payment inquiries • Submit Purchase Requisitions • Review Purchase Requisitions from other Accounts Payable Accountants • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and GL accounting team members • Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparations • Prepare journal entries in various areas • Perform or review revenue recognition analysis • Prepare or review balance sheet reconciliations • Assist with external audit process • Participate in new system implementations • Assist with tax preparation and filing • Additional responsibilities as assigned
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in full AP accounting (US company experience preferred) • At least 3 years of progressive experience in GL accounting • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license • Working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies • Computer literacy in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly • Ability to follow accounting standards, company policies, and procedures • Ability to manage multiple assignments, balance workload independently, and meet deadlines • Must be a dependable team player with a positive attitude • Bonus skills: Prior experience with QuickBooks and Salesforce, SaaS or edtech experience, remote team experience, deadline-driven, experience leading a team, fluency in Spanish
