Description

• Oversee the technical development of EpiSci's Air Combat Autonomy portfolio • Lead technical proposal writing for new projects in the portfolio • Perform project-specific technical decomposition, epic roadmapping, and sprint planning • Mentor, assist, and train teams of engineers • Collaborate with autonomy engineers to implement autonomous UAS software and architectures • Support live flight tests of autonomous software • Collaborate with 3rd party UAS vendors on software integration • Collaborate with domain experts and prior DoD warfighters to build autonomy solutions for military missions

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in computer science/related engineering field • 10+ years of hands-on and leadership experience in aviation and autonomous robotic systems • Experience developing decision making AI for autonomous unmanned systems • Experience managing engineering staff and performing technical roadmapping across multiple projects • Experience with Python, C++, State Machines, Behavior Trees, Resource Allocation, Task Planning/Scheduling, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Bayesian Inference, Statistical Modeling • Proficiency in Docker, containerized development environments, Linux-based operating systems, git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab • Experience with agile methodologies and project management • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
