Description

• Responsible for implementing the platforms and APIs that support all business features • Part of the shared service team, responsible for the core platform covering major business functions such as Payment, Ledger, Identity, etc. • Designing, developing, testing, and scaling the platform for great user and partner experiences • Working closely with product, design and engineering peers to solve user problems around rent payment • Rolling out changes in an agile manner with small, frequent iterations • Leading scoping, design and implementation for APIs with minimum oversight • National pay range $160,000-$210,000 aligned with experience • HQ in NYC with employees throughout the US, Australia, and South America • Focus on building an inclusive culture

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals • Experience translating feature requirements into technical specifications • Leveling up team’s bar with best practices, mentoring • Experience with Java frameworks and tools such as Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit • Experience with distributed services environments at scale • Experience with observability and monitoring tools like DataDog • Writing high quality code that is testable, maintainable, scalable, and secure • Understanding REST and mobile API best practices • Great communication skills and comfortable in a distributed team • Proficient with Java and Spring (Bonus: AWS, Containers, Kubernetes, MySQL) • Experience with CI/CD to improve code stability and quality
