• Lead Litigation Strategy for Commercial Disputes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation, resolving pre-litigation commercial disputes of all types • Knowledge and experience in commercial disputes within the supply chain a very strong plus — transportation, trucking, warehousing, freight forwarding, ocean carrier, motor carrier, air carriers • Knowledge of general conventions and liability standards (COGSA, Warsaw, Montreal, etc) applicable to logistics and cargo claims and disputes a very strong plus • A strong work ethic and a desire to meaningfully engage with multiple teams on a regular basis • Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor • Ability to assess risk and provide sound, commercially-minded legal advice to Executives and senior business leaders • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively and gain trust and confidence with personnel at many different levels • Ability to work as a team member of the legal department in a scalable, autonomous and accountable manner, demonstrating flexibility across matter types and time zones • Excellent communication skills to interact with both internal clients & colleagues as well as external parties (counsel, customers, supply chain vendors) while addressing complex issues in an accurate, clear, and thorough manner.
