📋 Description

• Manage assigned categories of items and services for medium to complex materials and services • Support GE US Government hydropower projects and commercial projects in the USA and Canada • Implement volume discount strategies for specific categories • Lead kick-off meetings and related action plans • Ensure suppliers understand all technical requirements of orders • Follow up on purchase orders and gather regular supplier status updates • Maintain communication tools for project teams • Escalate blocking points, including supplier deviations, with project and engineering teams • Update purchase orders with technical document updates or change orders • Anticipate delivery delays by understanding fabrication processes, complexity, and roadblocks • Support suppliers in using company tools • Maintain supplier relationships in challenging situations • Manage supplier payments • Serve as focal point for interface and communication between project team members and suppliers

🎯 Requirements

• Technical, supply chain/logistics or administration degree (college or university) • 3+ years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing/sourcing environment • Bilingual English & French • Understanding of site services, subcontracting and implementation of volume agreements • Demonstrated understanding of all phases of procurement and procurement execution • Demonstrated ability to place and manage a high volume of purchase orders • Basic experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English • Good computer skills, multitasking and data accuracy • Ability to navigate a complex, matrix organization, internally and externally • Time and priorities management in a high volume, high stress environment
