Description

• Responsible for tracking and analyzing evolving policies in specific markets • Leading role in setting policy agendas • Develop relationships with regulatory bodies and third parties • Analyze legislative and regulatory opportunities • Work with internal stakeholders to address emerging issues • Draft and edit position papers, testimony, and comments • Manage external consultants

Requirements

• At least 5 - 6 years of combined experience in government relations, regulatory agency, and/ or business • Advanced degree (MA, JD, MPP) preferred • Experience in public utilities, transportation, and/or education strongly preferred • Experience with the legislative process and lobbyists • Ability to research and analyze statutes and regulations • Exceptional communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Ability to keep up with policy conversations and identify opportunities
