Description

• Reviews client records to assure accurate and complete ICD-10-CM and PCS codes • Validates DRG assignment • Performs coding quality and accuracy audits • Provides education to coders • Maintains confidentiality of protected health information • Participates in coding roundtables, meetings, and educational conferences • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate • Completion of formal coding program with coding credentials (e.g. CCS, RHIA, RHIT) • Minimum 5 years California workers' compensation coding work experience • 2 years of California workers' compensation coding review experience • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems • PC proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software • Strong communication and customer service skills • Personal computer meeting job requirements
