📋 Description

• Lead a team of developers, data scientists, and AI/computer vision engineers • Ensure the integration of computer vision solutions with legacy systems and IT infrastructure, including cameras, sensors, and edge devices • Design and implement deep learning models for object detection, classification, segmentation, and tracking • Develop and optimize image and video processing pipelines, including preprocessing, data augmentation, and real-time inference • Apply OCR, facial recognition, video analytics, and visual sensing techniques • Optimize models for inference on edge computing and low-latency environments using quantization, pruning, TensorRT, and ONNX • Integrate computer vision models with industrial cameras, optical sensors, and embedded devices • Develop data pipelines for training, annotating, and validating image/video datasets • Apply agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to track goals and deliverables • Prepare technical and management reports for stakeholders • Ensure compliance with security, image privacy, and AI ethics standards, including Brazil’s LGPD • Promote research into emerging computer vision technologies, such as generative AI for images, multimodal models, and edge AI • Collaborate with universities and strategic partners within the innovation ecosystem • Work with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure complete vision system integration • Participate in project meetings to align technical objectives and define requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field • Advanced English proficiency • Proven software development experience, specifically in Computer Vision and AI/ML projects • Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects • Hands-on experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Detectron2, MMDetection, and Ultralytics (YOLO) • Knowledge of object detection, segmentation, tracking, and visual pattern recognition • Experience annotating and curating image/video datasets, including CVAT, Label Studio, and Roboflow • Experience deploying solutions in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrating with high-availability systems • Knowledge of privacy regulations and ethical standards applicable to AI and image usage, including Brazil’s LGPD • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL • Graduate degree or certifications in AI/Computer Vision — a plus • Knowledge of edge computing and IoT for medical or industrial applications — a plus • Proficiency in HDL (VHDL/Verilog) and Vivado, Quartus, and ModelSim — a plus • Experience with real-time video processing and streaming (RTSP, GStreamer, FFmpeg) — a plus • Project management experience • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) • Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps • CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins) • Experience with REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
