📋 Description

• Take functional ownership of bookkeeping preparation and month-end closing • Prepare or support the preparation of month-end accounts ready for closing in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) • Gradually bring the currently outsourced bookkeeping function in-house • Play a key role in the NetSuite implementation, including process design, data migration, and system logic • Report to management and the parent company, SAMY Group • Provide functional support and help develop the Accounting team • Build and continuously improve accounting processes and structures • Help shape the automation and reporting infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of in-depth accounting experience in day-to-day operations, as well as in building and continuously improving robust processes • Strong knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with HGB; able to prepare accounts or provide closing-ready documentation for the tax advisor • Completed degree in business administration, economics, or a related field with a focus on accounting, or a completed Certified Balance Sheet Accountant qualification combined with extensive relevant professional experience • Solid understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and double-entry bookkeeping • Excellent IT skills • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets • Proven experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred • SQL user skills are a plus • Experience building processes and working with ERP systems in day-to-day operations • Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands • Business-fluent German and English • Confident, realistic, and purposeful use of AI tools • Independent, structured, reliable, and results-oriented approach to work in a remote setup • Nice to have: experience in an agency, scale-up, or mid-sized service provider • Ability to provide functional leadership without direct personnel responsibility • High tolerance for hands-on work and an honest approach to personal knowledge gaps
