📋 Description

• Own the monthly payroll process across countries, including preparatory payroll accounting, inputs, handovers and sign-off with external payroll providers • Maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready employee master data in Personio and Deel • Manage onboarding, leave, offboarding, work time accounts, eAU administration and work certificates • Act as main contact for payroll providers, tax advisors and auditors • Improve processes, systems and workflows through automation and AI • Support alignment of employee benefits across countries while respecting local requirements • Partner with People Partners and Finance on payroll, reporting and People processes • Answer employee questions about pay and HR administration • Guide or mentor junior team members and own larger process and system projects • Act as a sparring partner to People leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience in payroll and People / HR Operations, ideally including German payroll • Experience coordinating payroll across multiple countries and working with external providers • Strong knowledge of relevant labor law, tax and social security requirements • Hands-on experience with Deel & Personio is a strong plus • Structured, reliable and discreet working style, with attention to detail and deadlines • Pragmatic, improvement-minded approach • Curiosity about systems, automation and AI • Fluent English and German • Proven ownership of multi-country payroll and experience leading process or system improvements, or guiding others
