• Our client is currently seeking a Director of Business Development for their Japan division, with a specific focus on forging strategic business partnerships. As part of their expansion efforts in Japan, they are in search of a seasoned and highly-networked professional within the gaming industry to spearhead partnership initiatives. This role will play a pivotal role in enabling the company to cultivate, oversee, and implement enduring partnerships with game studios, distribution channels, and platforms throughout the Japanese market.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of success within the mobile game industry. • Business development experience within the mobile game industry. • Proficiency in international business operations, including experience in a multinational setting. • Proven leadership capabilities in high-paced environments, with a talent for nurturing and advancing top-tier talent on an accelerated career path. • Exceptional quantitative and financial skills. • The capacity to build deep, trust-based relationships and exert influence over various stakeholder groups, both directly and indirectly. • Proficiency in managing multiple concurrent priorities and meeting deadlines effectively. • Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative skills. • Self-motivated and comfortable with uncertainty, displaying proactive and self-directed behavior from day one. • Strong persuasive communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal communication, tailored to diverse internal and external audiences. • A wide-ranging network and a profound passion for interactive entertainment and technology. • Fluent in English, with a requirement for native or fluent proficiency in written and spoken Japanese.
