Description

• Implement robust and scalable solutions for UI rendering in a game engine, • Develop cutting-edge user interface backend for a proprietary ECS-driven game engine, • Research the state of the art in UI development and apply that research through technical designs and implementation, • Perform CPU and GPU performance profiling and optimization, • Identify and highlight any potential risks during the development process, • Solve engineering problems by applying sound software engineering principles, design patterns, performance optimization, and minimizing any potential disruption factors during the development process, • Champion engineering excellence at Kokku as well as with our clients' development efforts.

Requirements

• Solid engineering skills with a vast professional experience in games, • Knowledge of fundamental UI concepts like 2D layout, animation, and text rendering, • Two or more shipped games, • Multiplatform development experience, • Excellent programming skills in modern C++, • Solid CPU and GPU debugging and optimization experience, • Solid understanding of graphics pipelines and rendering techniques, • Familiarity with several UI frameworks (game, web, application, etc.), • Familiarity with shaders, particle systems, and 3D rendering, • Experience with proprietary game engines or solid experience with Unreal source, • Solid attention to organization and detail with strong analytical skills, • Solid technical insight, • Good communication skills with the ability to write and verbalize conceptual thoughts, • Strong sense of accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations, • High emotional intelligence to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics effectively, • Proactive agent with a problem-solving and critical-thinking mindset, • Solid debugging and optimization skills.
