• Ensure an effective and reliable Accounting process by following-up all the steps involved. • Tax presentation and fiscal advice. • Preparation and Review of annual financial statements • Manage & coordinate indirect tax related activities - including tax calendar, tax compliance reporting and monitoring to ensure 100% compliance. • Supervise and cooperate in filing of VAT returns in Spain for Spain and each EU and not EU country. • Review and optimize VAT compliance set-up. • Assist with devising long-term indirect tax strategies & compliance arrangements for the organization (including external advisors) and implement them in a cost-efficient manner to ensure tax certainties & minimize risk exposure. • Preparation of the SII information and the declaration of it. • Tax preparation and review. • Handling accounting tasks and control of the outcomes. • Assist with month-end closing. Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner. • Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile tax accounts monthly or as required and report on any discrepancies. Prepare relevant tax reports for management
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience in Accounting and Fiscal departments. • Spanish Tax Knowledge • Knowledge of GL, accounts receivable, payable, Spanish taxes and fiscal models, and general accounting principles. • Manage multiple priorities in an organized and efficient way. • Accurate with excellent attention to detail. • Aptitude to work in cross-functional team. Comfortable working both independently and collaborating with teams. • Advanced level in English and Spanish (written and spoken). • Demonstrated computer literacy (Office and Google Tools). • Advanced in Microsoft Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables • Proper use of ERP. • Approachable and professional with the ability to get on with people at all levels. • US tax knowledge and familiar to work with other jurisdictions (desirable) • Adaptability: Self-driven, resilient, able to quickly adapt and stay organised in a fast-paced environment • Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex tax issues and find effective solutions
