📋 Description

• Lead engineering for MonieCRM, Moniepoint’s in-house workforce operations platform serving a 50,000-strong sales network • Own systems covering onboarding, network management, pipeline and portfolio, performance and goals, compensation, sales experience and support • Oversee wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare funds • Lead partner management, rewards and retention platforms, and the marketing technology stack including Braze engineering and customisation • Modernise and re-architect rapidly grown legacy systems for reliability and scale beyond 20 million users • Ensure financial correctness, including accurate and timely commission and earnings calculation, attribution, and payment • Scale the sales and marketing platform across multiple markets • Enable commercial teams to move faster through dependable tooling • Build a high-performing engineering organisation with a strong bench of managers and senior engineers • Participate in system design, technical deep-dive, stakeholder management, leadership, and culture-fit interviews

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code • At least 5 years managing managers and leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders • Proven platform engineering experience at scale building and running complex distributed systems • Experience navigating legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with systems where financial correctness matters is a strong advantage • Fintech or payments background strongly preferred • CRM or SalesTech experience explicitly not required • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, but not a requirement • Evidence of Customer Obsession, Craft, Systemisation, Urgency, Ownership, No Ego, Candour, and Integrity
