📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain Python/Django backend services powering customer provisioning, permissions/packaging, self-service purchasing, and subscription lifecycle workflows • Design and implement APIs and event-driven integrations between Muck Rack, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Stripe, RightRev, and other business systems • Lead the evolution of Muck Rack’s internal integration platform • Define integration patterns, API contracts, event models, and scalable technical solutions with Product, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Salesforce implementation partners • Lead medium-to-large engineering initiatives from architecture through production • Identify cross-system dependencies and technical risks and drive decisions to unblock delivery • Write clean, tested, and documented code; conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship • Improve reliability, observability, scalability, and performance of revenue-critical services • Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and integrations • Contribute to the long-term architecture of the revenue platform as self-service purchasing and Product-Led Growth capabilities expand

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong proficiency in Python and extensive production experience with Django • Experience designing and building REST APIs and integrating third-party platforms and external systems • Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and ORM patterns • Experience designing scalable, maintainable backend services in a SaaS environment • Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, or messaging platforms such as Kafka, Celery, or similar technologies • Ability to independently lead technical initiatives from architecture and design through production • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience across distributed systems and integrations • Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical considerations for technical and non-technical partners
