We have a generous training budget to spend on a huge selection of courses, books and more via Learnably. • Our Learning Management System, Ariel, is built in Python and React, and this role would best suit someone with proven experience building commercial web apps using this stack; but we choose the right technologies and platforms for each use case. Other technologies in use at Multiverse include Elixir, Phoenix, Postgres, LiveView, Elm, Docker, Terraform & AWS; and while this role doesn’t require prior experience of these (you’ll be working in Python/React) there will be the opportunity to build your knowledge of them, should you wish. • About you: - You’re an experienced full stack engineer and have a solid understanding of software development principles and practices - You have experience building commercial web applications using Python and React - You have worked with TypeScript, Django, GraphQL, Postgres, or similar related technologies - You are well versed in the fundamentals and pro’s & con’s of both monolithic and microservice architectures (we are moving from mono to micro) - You care about building reliable, accessible and well-tested systems for the web - You have an appreciation for simple, maintainable design - You take a collaborative approach to problem solving - You thrive in a culture of knowledge-sharing and peer review - You enjoy mentoring and supporting the development of your colleagues - and you’re excited about working with our Software Engineering apprentices
