• Kitsch is seeking a Logistics Data Scientist who will play a pivotal role in optimizing our logistics operations to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction across our distribution channels • This role requires a strong analytical mind, expertise in data science, and experience in logistics management • Manage and optimize the process of optimizing picking batches for direct-to-consumer orders, analyzing order batching and sequencing to enhance operational efficiency • Oversee statistics on returns, analyze costs, and develop strategies to minimize losses while enhancing customer satisfaction • Address issues with missing orders in ShipStation and implement preventive measures • Regularly review and analyze freight costs to identify and implement cost-saving strategies • Use predictive modeling and machine learning to optimize inventory and forecasting • Establish and track KPIs to gauge and improve logistics performance • Develop strategies to reduce the environmental impact of shipping and returns • Leverage customer feedback to improve the shipping and returns processes • Collaborate with supply chain to manage and predict inventory needs • Identify risks in the logistics process and develop mitigation strategies • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop, and deliver KPIs and scorecards
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Operations Research, or related field • Proven experience in logistics and data analysis • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and other analytics tools • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Experience manipulating raw data to meet business requests • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control best practices, and ShipStation; Shopify experience preferred • Ability to work independently and within a team on multiple projects, receiving instructions from several people and meeting project deadlines
