📋 Description

• Lead the design and architecture of healthcare integration solutions aligned with client requirements and industry best practices • Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using HL7, FHIR, APIs, and healthcare interoperability standards • Extend industry standards to develop customized integration solutions for client requirements • Develop advanced transformations, mappings, and custom scripts using JavaScript and related technologies • Leverage AWS knowledge to support integration deployments where applicable • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and interoperability challenges • Engage clients to understand requirements and provide high-level technical support • Support interface testing, including unit testing and message validation • Document integration workflows and support ticket resolution • Contribute to knowledge sharing and peer development through collaboration and best-practice discussions • Provide mentorship and technical leadership • Ensure integration aligns with HL7, FHIR, APIs, and other relevant protocols • Keep solutions compliant with industry-specific regulations such as HIPAA • Perform other duties supporting the overall objective of the position

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position • 5+ years of experience in healthcare integration and interface development • Strong experience developing integrations using Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) or similar integration engines • Experience with HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, RESTful APIs, and healthcare interoperability standards • Experience with JavaScript, Java, SQL, XML, JSON, and API-based integrations • Experience with TCP/IP, socket communications, and serial port communications • Experience developing healthcare integration solutions within Hospital Information Systems • Experience managing multiple integration projects simultaneously • Expert knowledge of HL7 message structure (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.) • Familiarity with SQL for data transformations • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security basics • Ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring collaborative and independent efforts
