Description

• Trusted partner to business and support teams• Provide legal advice on company-wide matters with a focus on commercial law, employment, product, and governance issues• Draft, revise, and negotiate diverse range of transactions• Provide support on hiring and maintaining human capital• Assist with contract interpretation and management• Give strategic advice on legal matters to Management and Operations and Tech teams• Lead implementation of scalable processes and procedures to ensure company-wide compliance and efficiency• Monitor regulatory developments• Opportunity to work with Board of Directors• Legal research as needed

Requirements

• J.D. degree from a US law school and member of the bar of any US State• 8+ years of legal experience for Associate General Counsel / 4-7 years of legal experience for Assistant General Counsel• Proven in-house counsel experience in crypto, blockchain, Web3, or fintech• Practical and sound transactional and negotiation skills• Experience supporting HR or Employee Benefits function• Familiarity with governance and compliance matters and risk management• Comfortable working in an evolving and growing environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance• High degree of professional ethics and integrity• Outstanding communication skills at all levels• Deep knowledge of blockchain technology and Ethereum and Arbitrum and/or other Layer 2s is preferred• Preferably, experience at both a law firm and in an in-house setting
