• Designing mechanical components and subsystems, including using CAD. • Collaborating cross-functionally with other engineering teams to define design requirements and ensure the design meets those requirements. • Providing technical feedback to other engineering design teams. • Identifying deficiencies in mechanical designs and proactively making improvements. • Planning for manufacturing and assembly of components and subsystems. • Documenting work using modern tools and techniques, and writing well-written, thoughtful technical reports. • Working with engineering analysis teams to support performing analyses, which can include thermal, stress, fatigue, tolerance, safety, manufacturability, and cost.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline • Experience designing mechanical systems and products • Experience in design for manufacturing • Proficiency in a CAD software
