📋 Description

• Define the technical and architectural vision for large-scale recommendation systems, ensuring ultra-low latency, high availability, and resilience. • Serve as a technical reference, raising the bar of software engineering excellence across the organization. • Evolve critical microservices in Kotlin, applying best practices for code design, concurrency, and testing. • Lead complex technical discussions and align architecture decisions with product managers, data teams, and business stakeholders. • Monitor and optimize the performance of high-throughput distributed systems, identifying bottlenecks before they impact the buyer experience.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong prior experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Staff Engineer working on microservices architectures and large-scale distributed systems. • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin (and/or modern Java). • Knowledge of Machine Learning, understanding the model lifecycle (training, inference, feature stores, prediction latency) to actively collaborate with Data Scientists. • Experience with AWS, including CI/CD best practices, observability, and DevOps culture. • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity for diverse audiences and guide team strategy. • Nice to have: Previous experience on Search, Recommendations, Personalization, or E-commerce teams.
