Description

• Primary legal resource for molecular collections and services business • Commercial - negotiate and review contracts • Employment - serve as primary lawyer for Canadian HR and employment matters • Intellectual Property - support IP strategy • M&A - assist General Counsel on business development matters • Compliance - support legal compliance function • Training - provide training on legal risk parameters • Department Efficiency - support implementation of contract management tools • Litigation - assist General Counsel with handling outside counsel for litigation matters

Requirements

• Member of the Bar in good standing • Law degree from an accredited law school in the US or Canada • 8-10 years of post-call experience in house or with a top-tier law firm • Comfort with commercial, corporate, employment, and transactional matters • Understanding of US and Canadian law; other international expertise is a plus • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
