Description

• Define the standards of good level design across our casual games portfolio, ensuring levels are fun, unique, and memorable. • Design and optimize engaging levels for our titles, ensuring a balance of difficulty that aligns with our product strategy. • Utilize data-driven approaches to prioritize level adjustments and designs, collaborating closely with Data Analysts and Product Managers. • Develop strategies to influence KPIs through level design, such as increasing in-app purchases and retention by adjusting level difficulty. • Analyze game mechanics, level tempo/pacing, and player interactions with game elements to understand their impact on player behavior. • Identify gaps in current level tools, proposing improvements to our level development pipeline with an emphasis on rapid A/B testing • Mentor junior level designers, growing the level design talent in the studio. • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including artists, engineers, and QA to ensure levels are of the highest quality. • Comfortable with proactively navigating analytics tools to review and interpret data on conversion, ad revenue, retention, churn, and engagement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional game design experience, with a focus in designing levels for free-to-play casual mobile puzzle games • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform design decisions and prioritization. • Excellent collaboration skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional team members including data analysts, product managers, and other designers. • Proficiency with level editing tools and game engines, particularly Unity. • Passionate about mobile gaming, with a deep understanding of the casual mobile puzzle game genre.
