• Represent and promote Royal College of Art London (RCA) in China • Develop partner networks, support alumni and drive international student recruitment • Develop and execute marketing, support and recruitment plans with RCA • Act as first point of contact for education agent queries • Receive and respond to agent-related student complaints • Check agencies’ compliance with the British Council Agent Quality Framework • Deliver agent training and attend in-country events • Support academic and senior team visits and partnership events in China • Build recruitment activities with academic partners and support progression agreements • Drive high-quality student engagement, applications and conversion from China • Grow awareness of RCA programmes among Chinese audiences • Inform Chinese applicants about the RCA application process and available resources and events • Design, organize and deliver information sessions and events across key cities • Promote and deliver online events • Develop and post WeChat content for recruitment and conversion • Manage RCA’s presence on Little Red Book and other Chinese social media channels • Manage and update RCA’s Chinese-language web presence and Baidu representation • Support alumni events and represent RCA at selected Chinese alumni events • Share Chinese alumni success stories for social media, newsletters and promotional activities • Promote English for Academic Purposes programmes and RCA online Short Courses • Support introductory business opportunities for Executive Education, Knowledge Exchange, consultancy and Research partnerships • Deliver client-focused projects and assignments for RCA • Conduct market research and produce country and market analysis • Maintain accurate and complete CRM data records • Advise RCA on the needs of Chinese students and future alumni • Provide excellent customer service to clients, representatives, prospective students and parents • Plan and budget resources to optimize regional recruitment activities
• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent • Study abroad experience in the UK will be valuable • Experience working in an international office environment in higher education, marketing or business development, or the creative or cultural sectors would be advantageous • Excellent spoken and written skills in English • Presentation skills • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships • Proven understanding of the international education market and motivations of Chinese students for international study • Knowledge of the political, social and economic environment in China would be advantageous • Knowledge of the UK higher education sector, including UK-equivalent qualifications, entry and visa requirements and processes, will be advantageous • Knowledge, interest and enthusiasm for contemporary art, design, architecture and culture • Existing network of connections in the cultural and creative industries and universities in China would be beneficial • Experience and demonstrated skills in event organisation and management • Proven capacity to develop and implement plans to achieve defined outcomes • Creative and innovative expertise to develop initiatives for prospective students and influencers • Problem-solving skills • Ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment • Highly developed organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks with competing deadlines and work under pressure • Ability to meet challenging recruitment targets • Ability to work flexibly outside normal office hours on occasions • Extensive travel required (>50%)
