• Execute accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles, standards and applicable legislation, performing the monthly accounting close through proper reconciliation of accounts and fixed asset inventory, ensuring compliance with current regulations in the company control system. • Ensure the consistency of accounting, tax and management information by checking, controlling and analyzing account reconciliations, inventory of stock and fixed assets. • Prepare monthly trial balances (financial and management), collecting and providing information, and support administrative management and the accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract management and procurement areas in negotiating proposals relative to the company’s financial indicators. • Respond to external auditors by providing reports and resolving any queries. • Contribute to proper control of the company’s physical and fixed assets by performing re-registration activities, re-tagging/labeling and cataloging assets in the system, identifying physical and accounting surpluses in accordance with current legislation. • Support maintenance of the fixed asset control system in the computerized system by configuring and updating tables and posting transactions for acquisitions, disposals, transfers and asset changes. • Control the issuance and recording of Books such as the Journal and General Ledger and others required for the company’s bookkeeping. • Prepare documentation for the Annual Corporate Income Tax Return through continuous monitoring of legislation and recording all relevant accounting events in internal controls, ensuring the accuracy of information provided to the tax authorities. • Issue tax filings (DCTF, DIRF, SPED FISCAL, GIA and DAPI), obtain approval and forward for payment, file copies for control, and prepare and dispatch various documents (letters, forms, declarations, etc.) to substantiate remittances to the public authorities involved. • Perform tax bookkeeping and monthly Corporate Income Tax calculations, ensuring that taxes due are calculated and paid as required by law, continuously seeking cost reduction through efficient and optimized tax management. • Research and study tax legislation, providing necessary guidance to other areas of the company. • Contribute to the effectiveness of the company’s decision-making process by properly organizing activities for generating, analyzing and disseminating reliable and timely management information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. • ERP Protheus – Modules: Managerial Accounting and Fiscal Books. • Advantage: knowledge of the Financial and Purchasing modules. • Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills. • Knowledge of state and federal tax legislation.
