Description

• Perform database engineering and administration activities • Design, plan, and configure databases • Implement monitoring, automation, alerting, and space management • Lead and advise on migration and modernization • Develop and execute workload migrations to Cloud platforms • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures • Manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategy • Work on performance optimization • Use cloud tech tools such as AWS DMS, SMS, Azure Migrate, etc. • Monitor database policies, procedures, and standards • Capacity planning and forecasting • Patch management and upgrades • Troubleshooting and issue resolution • Automation and scripting for process efficiency • Compliance with industry standards and best practices • Mentor and train junior DBAs • Performance analysis and reporting • Documentation of database configurations • Evaluation and management of third-party tools • Disaster recovery planning and execution • Participate in new product rollouts • 24x7 production support • Execution of large-sized database projects

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience • Skills in MSSQL DBA with AWS/Azure • Proficiency in SQL Server Architecture, Installation, Configuration • Experience in HADR, Migration, Performance Tuning • Knowledge of SQL Server in Cloud environments • Familiarity with SQL Server Best Practices • Effective communication skills • Leadership skills for problem-solving • Experience with Postgresql/MySQL/AWS RDS • Database Specialty Certifications in AWS/Azure • Experience in AWS/Azure cloud environments • Experience in Automation with Python/AWS CLI/PowerShell/Shell • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Cloud Formation, Terraform, Github
