📋 Description

• Manage and resolve complex end-to-end employee exits with minimal supervision across multiple international jurisdictions • Provide guidance on termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, redundancy processes, and other HR matters • Lead client and external employee meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcomes • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations • Liaise with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and other stakeholders on offboarding compliance and audits • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents while maintaining confidential employee records • Process offboarding in Remote’s internal HRIS platform and coordinate with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams • Provide informal escalation support, expertise, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members • Provide first-level Employee Relations guidance and help clients navigate complex workplace scenarios • Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and identify applicable regulations and potential paths forward • Track and monitor employee relations cases and coordinate timely follow-up • Resolve internal and external queries on offboarding and first-level employee relations matters • Identify and drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience enhancements • Determine methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments and adapt complex techniques to achieve results

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law considered a plus • Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance • Experience providing HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions • Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and workplace investigation fundamentals • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues • Ability to research issues, translate findings into usable team resources, and provide practical recommendations • Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills • Ability to independently lead difficult conversations toward positive outcomes while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality • Business-level (advanced) written and spoken English; additional languages considered a plus • Aptitude for innovation, process optimization, automation, and championing best practices • Operational efficiency with strong record-keeping and data-integrity awareness • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems • Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous remote environment • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed • Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to inspire others • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency • Prior employment verification check
