📋 Description

• Manage and resolve complex end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision. • Provide guidance on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, redundancy processes, and other HR matters. • Lead and facilitate client and external employee meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcome meetings. • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations involving stakeholders with competing interests. • Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and other stakeholders for compliant offboarding and audits. • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records. • Process offboarding in Remote’s internal HRIS platform with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other teams. • Serve as a first-level escalation point and mentor junior team members. • Provide guidance on employee relations resources and complex workplace scenarios. • Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying facts, regulations, and potential solutions. • Track and monitor employee relations cases and coordinate timely follow-up. • Resolve offboarding and first-level employee relations queries as a subject-matter expert. • Identify and drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience initiatives. • Determine methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments and adapt complex techniques to meet Lifecycle and Remote needs. • Report to the Manager Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions, as part of the Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions team.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies and exposure across the employee lifecycle. • Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity and legal compliance. • Comprehensive HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations spanning various jurisdictions. • Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and workplace investigation fundamentals. • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues. • Problem-solving skills to independently arrive at solutions, undertake research, and translate findings into usable team resources. • Ability to effectively communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar environments. • Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills. • Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English. • Aptitude for process innovation, optimization, automation, and best practices. • Efficiency in operations, thorough record-keeping, and data integrity. • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems. • Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment while balancing competing priorities. • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed. • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency. • Tertiary qualifications in HR/labour relations/employment law are considered a plus (optional).
