📋 Description

• Overall technical responsibility in EPC management, particularly for our PV and BESS projects, acting as the central technical authority (Owner's Engineer) together with the existing project managers • Preparation and enforcement of internal technical guidelines and specifications • Technical evaluation of solutions and components, e.g. battery storage types, manufacturers, degradation curves and system design • Oversight and acceptance throughout the entire project cycle, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), site inspections and on-site acceptance together with EPC contractors/subcontractors • Management of EPC negotiations for complex supply and EPC contracts including technical requirements and payment terms • Coordination with the commercial/financial team and project management • Support in preparing technical designs and specifications, especially grid connection and cable route planning as well as PV system layouts • Establishing and shaping the EPC management function as the initial hire • Direct reporting to executive management

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in EPC management, owner's engineering or technical project delivery of utility-scale PV and/or battery storage (BESS) projects in Germany • Not open to career changers; direct experience required • Degree in electrical, energy or civil engineering, or an equivalent qualification • Solid technical knowledge of PV and/or BESS systems, components and manufacturers • Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and construction/site acceptance tests • Experience negotiating and structuring complex supply/EPC contracts, including payment terms • Existing network and concrete market knowledge in the German PV/BESS sector • Willingness to travel for on-site meetings, site visits, supplier meetings and FATs • Business-fluent German and English • Independent, responsible working style and willingness to take on genuine responsibility
