📋 Description

• Design, develop, test and maintain features across a modern enterprise web platform • Build secure backend services and web applications using C# and modern .NET • Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrations with third-party systems • Work with relational databases, data models and performance-sensitive queries • Contribute to responsive and user-friendly web interfaces • Own features from technical design through development, testing and release • Review requirements and identify technical risks, dependencies and edge cases • Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning and code reviews • Write clean, maintainable and appropriately tested code • Investigate defects, performance issues and production incidents • Estimate development effort and communicate progress, risks and blockers • Produce and maintain technical documentation • Contribute to engineering standards, secure development practices and delivery processes • Support and mentor less-experienced developers where appropriate • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery, testing, documentation and technical analysis

🎯 Requirements

• Strong commercial experience in most listed technologies and practices • C# and modern .NET • ASP.NET Core • RESTful API design and third-party integrations • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or another enterprise relational database • Entity Framework Core or comparable ORM • HTML, CSS and JavaScript • Git-based source control • Unit, integration and automated testing • Object-oriented programming and software design principles • Dependency injection and separation of concerns • Authentication, authorisation and role-based access control • Secure web application development • Cloud-hosted applications • Docker or similar container technologies • Automated build, testing and deployment processes • Approximately five or more years of relevant commercial software development experience • Strong recent experience developing production software using C# and .NET • Experience delivering meaningful features from requirement through production • Experience working within a professional software development team • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred • Equivalent practical experience and a strong technical track record may be considered in place of a formal qualification • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and independently reviewing, testing, and validating generated outputs • Practical understanding of secure authentication, session management, access control, secure API design, input validation, OWASP principles, logging, monitoring, audit trails, data protection, code quality, maintainability, and testability • Advantageous: AWS or another major cloud platform; React, Next.js or comparable frontend framework; multi-tenant SaaS; high-volume enterprise applications; workflow-driven systems; background processing; monitoring and performance optimisation; SSO and identity-provider integrations; reporting and analytics; AI-enabled features
