Description

• Own the design of the front-end of SandboxAQ’s chemistry and life sciences simulation platform by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and developers to gather and understand design requirements and ensure seamless design implementation • Conduct workshops, qualitative interviews, usability testing, and other user research methods to inform and validate design decisions • Present designs to stakeholders, including users, engineers, and product managers, and iterate based on feedback • Drive the visual design of the user interface, by developing a style guide and/or design system, ensuring consistency across UI components and user interactions, and providing detailed specifications to front-end developers • Analyze analytics to improve interactions with the application

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or another relevant field • 6+ years of experience building interfaces with complex scientific and data-intensive workflows and visualizations for B2B applications • Experience conducting user research utilizing various methods, including usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys • Skilled in problem-solving, analyzing research data, identifying end-user pain points, and translating user requirements into design solutions • Analytically minded with a skill to connect seemingly unrelated information and ideas, across different technical specialties from various technical stakeholders • Proficient in Figma, with knowledge of other design tools (Sketch, Adobe Suite) to produce wireframes and high-fidelity mockups • Certifications in UX/UI design • Demonstrate strong verbal communication and presentation abilities, essential for effectively collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and articulating design concepts to stakeholders • Experience working with software in one or more of the following domains: Chemistry, Medical Sciences, Physics (Quantum)
