Description
• Responsible for the entire technical solution from design, development, and maintenance efforts of the Operational DataStore (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Marts. • Responsible for building and enhancing the IT/Business relationship through strategic planning and project review sessions, goal setting, and ensuring the quality of all IT project deliverables. • Lead testing and implementation coordination efforts between all involved IT project application teams. • Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Software Development Methodology. • Participate and/or Lead continuous process improvements in project delivery. • Proven ability to lead a technical delivery team responsible for writing programming code and documenting complex data warehouse and integration applications. Leverage prior knowledge of enterprise application technologies and development techniques. • A core understanding of the software development lifecycle and of Quality Assurance techniques using source code control repositories, debugging, and testing experience. • Use best practices and industry standards to ensure the development team writes solid and maintainable code and be adaptable to learning new technologies and techniques. • Knowledge of security and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) technologies use in data warehouse and integration development. • The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with the IT and Business management and peers. Ability to give clear direction to development team members, Business Analysts, Project managers, and vendors in completion of project tasks. • Facilitate task assignments, team member performance reviews, mentoring, and monitoring as required. • Successfully perform the role of technical integration Lead in delivering Information Management projects as components to larger IT and Business initiatives. • Keep up to date with advances in relevant computer technologies and how they could be leveraged in the current legacy business environment. • A sense of urgency and the ability to meet tight timelines. • Ensure proper resource planning and allocation of resources to avoid impacts to ongoing projects and plans. • Track and report team member’s hours worked on a weekly basis. • Ensure effective management of tasks assigned and timely delivery of assignments. • Ensure proactive and effective escalation of issues or project concerns by self and team members. • Keep management informed of technical challenges and opportunities for improvement. • Promote and provide an environment for collaborative feedback, team communication, and innovation. • Coach and Counsel team members on technical issues or challenges. • Coordinate, organize, and track project timelines and resources.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree • 5-8 years of experience in technical leadership roles • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Operational DataStore (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Marts • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and Quality Assurance techniques • Experience in leading a technical delivery team • Proficiency in enterprise application technologies and development techniques • Familiarity with security and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) technologies • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Strong project management and team management skills
