Description

• Conducting thorough research on industry-related topics • Generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication and distribution • Writing clear marketing copy to promote products/services to both employers and job seekers of color • Preparing well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems • Distributing occasional press releases to media publications • Submitting work to team for input and approval • Conducting simple keyword research and using SEO guidelines to increase web traffic • Promoting content on social media • Incorporating latest SEO strategies into content • Identifying customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommending new topics • Ensuring all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone) • Updating website content as needed • Delivering quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers, and boost brand awareness.

Requirements

• Proven/current work experience as a Technical Writer, Copywriter, or similar role • Portfolio of published articles • Experience doing research using multiple sources • Familiarity with web publications • Excellent writing and editing skills in English • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) • Ability to meet deadlines • BSc/BA in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field
