📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance services and applications using C# and .NET • Take independent ownership of complex technical initiatives from initial design through production delivery and continuous improvement • Contribute to architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and event-driven services • Guide platform modernization while balancing delivery needs, operational risk, technical debt, and long-term maintainability • Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, design guidance, and constructive feedback • Drive improvements in reliability, security, observability, performance, testing, and engineering practices • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to connect technical decisions with customer and organizational value • Build expertise across competition management, tournament operations, scheduling, results, statistics, and digital engagement

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software development experience, including responsibility for business-critical production systems • Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET, APIs, asynchronous programming, performance, testing, and modern software design practices • Proven ability to design and operate distributed systems in production using cloud platforms and contemporary architecture patterns • Independent ownership of complex initiatives, from architecture and delivery through production operation and incident learning • A strong record of mentoring engineers and conducting technical reviews that are direct, constructive, and useful • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the ability to explain trade-offs and build alignment around difficult decisions • Experience with sports technology, competition-management platforms, enterprise SaaS, or similarly complex operational domains • Demonstrated Snooker domain expertise, including competition structures, tournament formats, scheduling, scoring, results, statistics, and operational workflows
